Become the diver others can count on.
Great dive buddies do more than keep track of each other underwater. They notice. They anticipate. They stay calm. And when something doesn’t go according to plan, they know how to respond.
Diver Stress & Rescue takes the skills you learned in Open Water and expands your awareness beyond your own dive. You’ll learn to recognize signs of stress in yourself and others, prevent small problems from becoming emergencies, and respond effectively when another diver needs help.
And here’s something you might not expect: this course is fun. The scenarios and training dives give you the chance to put your skills into action, solve problems, work with other divers, and discover just how capable you can be.
You won’t leave this course expecting things to go wrong. You’ll leave knowing you’re better prepared if they do—and that confidence can make you a calmer, more relaxed diver every time you get in the water.
You don’t have to be an advanced diver.
Despite where this course might fall in your diving journey, Advanced Open Water Certification is not required. If you have your Open Water Certification, you’re ready to take Diver Stress & Rescue.
That makes this an excellent next course whether you’ve just earned your Open Water certification or you’ve been diving for years and want to strengthen your skills.
What You’ll Learn
Diver Stress & Rescue is about awareness, prevention, preparation, and response. Through coursework and hands-on training, you’ll learn how to recognize and manage stress, identify developing problems before they escalate, assist tired or panicked divers, respond to emergencies at the surface and underwater, and develop practical rescue skills you can call on when they’re needed.
More than anything, you’ll learn to slow down, assess what’s happening, and respond instead of react.
Those skills don’t just make you more useful in an emergency. They can change the way you dive.
